Jason Todd Phillips

Growing up in a family business where we manufacture furniture and decorative accessories overseas has given me the privilege of seeing the world and in doing so, made me a seasoned global traveler. I have been to Southeast Asia dozens of times, visiting Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and China.

I have also traveled extensively throughout most of Western Europe, the United States, and Mexico. This has given me a great sensitivity and appreciation for foreign affairs, trade, and commerce.

Biography

1983

Born in New York and grew up in the furniture industry.

1997-2001

Attended Roslyn High School in Roslyn, NY, achieving top grades while participating in sports and other extracurricular activities.

1998-2001

Studied Fine Art at the Huntington School of Fine Arts in Huntington, NY.

2004

Spent a year in at the Universidad de Sevilla in Seville Spain, learning the language while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in the Fine Arts Program.

2005

Received a B.F.A. in Industrial Design (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

A founding member of the SFC (Sustainable Furniture Council)..

The winner of numerous industry awards over the years -- most recently nominated as a finalist in the 20th Annual Pinnacle Awards.
